G Suite Apps

Saugus USD is a Google Apps for Education district. This means that we utilized Google apps in our own secure domain. Each child is assigned a Google account which allows them to have access to the online apps appropriate for learning.

Google's relationship with educational agencies ensures that all activity in our domain remains private. Student information will never be shared or sold to outside companies. This practice complies with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, 1974) and COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, 1998).

Commonly Used Google Apps

Google Classroom

A central location for teachers to assign digital work and tests. Students can complete assignments and see grades and feedback from teachers.

Google Docs

Similar to Microsoft Word, Google Docs is the online app commonly used for word processing.

Google Slides

This is Google's equivalent of Power Point. Students use slides to show information and present reports.

Google Drive

Google Drive is the online storage system for all Google apps. Students can organize files in folders and customize files as needed.
